  I just saw Dr. Hankla for the first time today and was very pleased with my experience. The negative reviews had me feeling anxious, but Dr. Hankla was super nice and his staff were very friendly and I really felt they cared about my well being. I would definitely recommend them!

  I want to say that this review is not in regards to Dr. Hankla himself, since I did not get to see him. It is about his staff. After my fiance's aunt told me how wonderful of a dentist Dr. Hankla was, I decided to schedule an appointment to see him. I initially scheduled my appointment in May and the earliest I was able to get in was July. I had to reschedule my appointment so I could support my sister scheduled for surgery. My new appointment was then set for October 10th. I received a voicemail from their office on either Saturday or Sunday mid September informing me that they had to move my appointment back to October 17th - today - at 8:30 a.m. When I had called to reschedule my appointment to October 10th, I expressed *very* clearly that I could only do Friday afternoons because of my work and school schedule. After going to school and working nights, I don't get to bed until around 3 - 4 a.m. I was very dissatisfied that they scheduled me for an early morning appointment and the fact that I was stuck with it. Unfortunately, I was a little late for my appointment (by about 10 minutes). I asked if they could still see me today and I was told I would have to wait - which would have been perfectly fine with me. The receptionist then said that they have appointments scheduled all day and I just said okay. Then I was advised to reschedule and that they have appointments booked all the way through December. By the tone in her voice, it was very obvious that the receptionist did not want to help at all. Although she did not say anything rude, her tone was very rude. It was almost as if I had wasted her time and therefore she had no time for me. I understand that being late is my fault, but scheduling me an appointment that I expressed I wasn't able to go to was their fault. The receptionist could have definitely handled things a lot better. My experience from previously working at a doctor's office is that when someone is running behind, they allow whoever is there early to see the doctor, and give their appointment slot to the person running behind. That way no time/money is lost. My advice to anyone still reading this is not to bother scheduling any appointment with Dr. Hankla's office unless you have a completely free schedule that you can show up anytime they decide to reappoint you.
